A new Borderlands 4 update brings massive weapon buffs as Gearbox readies its second raid boss

Borderlands 4 got a balance patch that broadly buffs underperforming weapons, legendaries, and shields.

Gearbox raised damage, fire rate, and shield capacity across many guns, including SMGs, shotguns, and pistols.

The Roulette pistol was nerfed, while more tuning is planned before the next raid boss arrives.

The update should widen viable builds and shift the game’s weapon and shield meta.
