Kioxia and Dell cram 10 PB into slim 2RU server

Kioxia and Dell unveiled a slim 2U server design that can pack up to 10 petabytes of NVMe SSD storage.

The system uses very high-capacity drives and points to a new level of flash density for enterprise data centers.

It could serve hyperscale storage, nearline archives, and other large-capacity workloads that still rely on hard drives.

The demo signals a path toward even larger all-flash systems, including future E3.L-based configurations.
