Firefox is adding an AI-powered daily crossword that turns the news into a puzzle

Mozilla is adding optional New Tab widgets to Firefox, including a daily AI-powered crossword.

The puzzle is generated from current news summaries provided by Particle and refreshes each day.

Players can tap related articles for more context, making the New Tab page more interactive and news-driven.

The feature is rolling out gradually and can also be enabled manually in Firefox 153 and later via settings or about:config.
