OpenAI reshuffles leadership as health issues force key executives to step back

OpenAI announced several interim leadership changes after multiple executives stepped back for health reasons.

Fidji Simo, head of AGI Deployment, is on sick leave for several weeks due to an autoimmune nervous system condition.

Greg Brockman will cover product responsibilities and super app plans while Simo is absent, and business roles are being redistributed among senior leaders.

Kate Rouch stepped down from Head of Marketing for health reasons and will be temporarily replaced by Gary Briggs.

COO Brad Lightcap moved to a special projects team reporting to CEO Sam Altman, with Denise Dresser taking over most of his duties.
