EU Says TikTok Hasn't Done Enough To Ensure Minors' Safety

The European Commission says TikTok’s default privacy and recommendation settings for minors fall short of EU Digital Services Act rules.

Regulators cited public-by-default visibility and algorithmic recommendations for 16- and 17-year-olds as key concerns.

TikTok can respond before any penalty, but a fine could reach up to 6% of annual revenue.
