What do you want Google’s ‘Pixel Glow’ lights to do?

Google code suggests a new Pixel Glow feature for Pixel phones with subtle rear lights and color when the device is face down.

Early uses include favorite-caller alerts and hands-free Gemini interactions.

The article says Pixel Glow could also handle notification and charging indicators, bringing back a more useful status-light style.

If shipped, it would give Pixel phones a new way to surface important information without turning the screen on.
