A daring creator has mounted Apple’s wireless earbuds “AirPods” on a Frisbee to turn them into a motion tracker

A Reddit user introduced Kinapod, a setup that mounts AirPods onto a flying disc to measure throwing data.

Using the AirPods' accelerometer and gyroscope, the app can track spin rate, release speed, and airtime.

The results are displayed in an iOS app, with early testing available through TestFlight.

The idea shows how a familiar wireless earbud can be repurposed as a sports motion tracker.
