Kumamoto earthquake: Mobile carriers offer support such as free data communications

Following the Kumamoto earthquake, NTT Docomo, KDDI, SoftBank, and Rakuten Mobile announced relief measures for customers in disaster relief law-designated areas.

Support includes unlimited data, lifted speed restrictions, extra data allowances, free additional data purchases, free SIM reissue, and extended payment deadlines.

The measures will be rolled out from late July through the end of August to help victims stay connected and reduce financial burden.
