Netflix's free new app is a gaming playground

Netflix launched Netflix Playground, a free gaming app for its subscribers.

The app targets children aged 8 and under and includes games tied to licensed shows like Peppa Pig, Sesame Street, and Dr. Seuss.

Playground is available in the US, Canada, the UK, Australia, the Philippines and New Zealand at launch, with a wider international rollout on April 28.

Games have no ads or microtransactions and are designed to be simple and age-appropriate.
