Google debuts Deep Research agents on AI Studio and APIs

Google has launched Deep Research and Deep Research Max in public preview on paid Gemini API tiers.

The agents use Gemini 3.1 Pro to run autonomous research across the web, private data via MCP, and uploaded files.

Outputs include cited reports, charts, and infographics, making the results ready for enterprise use.

Google is positioning the tools as developer infrastructure for regulated, data-heavy workflows, with broader access planned through Google Cloud.
