OpenAI shifts to usage-based pricing for Codex in ChatGPT business plans

OpenAI is moving Codex in ChatGPT Business and Enterprise to usage-based pricing.

Admins can enable workspace-wide free access and organizations pay only for actual Codex usage.

Eligible Business customers can receive up to $500 in promotional credit per workspace for a limited time.

OpenAI says over two million developers use Codex weekly and Business/Enterprise usage has grown sixfold since January.
