US delivers key hardware for one of its most advanced accelerator projects

Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory delivered the first batches of line-replaceable units for Scorpius test facilities at Nevada National Security Sites.

The hardware will support integrated testing at the Integrated Test Stand before underground installation at the PULSE facility.

The milestone moves the next-generation Scorpius accelerator closer to full testing and eventual operation for nuclear research and stockpile stewardship.
