We Finally Know How The Lights Turned on at The Dawn of Time

JWST and Hubble data indicate tiny dwarf galaxies powered the reionization of the early Universe.

Researchers analyzed JWST spectra of sources behind the lensing cluster Abell 2744 and found dwarf galaxies are far more abundant than large galaxies.

The team reports these dwarf galaxies outnumber large galaxies by about 100 to 1 and emit roughly four times the ionizing radiation assumed for bigger galaxies.
