Apple discontinues the Mac Pro and its $699 wheels

Apple confirmed the Mac Pro desktop has been discontinued and said it has no plans to offer Mac Pro hardware in the future.

The Mac Pro product page now redirects to Apple’s Mac homepage, which highlights Mac mini, Mac Studio, and iMac desktop computers.

The Mac Pro was introduced in 2019 as a powerful, high-priced desktop computer.

The Mac Pro offered optional wheels; they cost $400 as an option and $699 if bought separately.

Apple is positioning the Mac Studio as the pro-grade alternative — configurable with M4 Max or M3 Ultra, up to 256GB memory and up to 16TB storage; Apple plans a Mac Studio upgrade in mid-2026.
