Apple’s delayed AI gambit…new Apple TV and HomePod mini set to launch

Apple is planning refreshed Apple TV and HomePod mini models for the second half of the year.

The main upgrades are expected to be new chips, with Apple TV possibly getting an A17 Pro and HomePod mini an S9.

The launch was reportedly delayed so Apple could better align the devices with Apple Intelligence and Siri improvements.

Apple is also said to be refining its broader AI strategy, including possible use of Google’s Gemini model.
