Forgot your Google password? Now you can log in with a selfie.

Google has introduced an optional biometric recovery feature that lets some users regain account access with a pre-recorded selfie video.

Users can record a video of their face in advance and later use it to verify identity during account recovery.

The feature is not available for Workspace accounts, child accounts, or Advanced Protection Program accounts.

Setup includes privacy controls for whether Google may use the video to improve facial recognition.
