Google announces its Chromebook successor: the Googlebook

Google teased Googlebook, a new fall laptop line built on a fresh Android-and-Chrome-based operating system.

The platform will include Gemini features, Android app support, and phone-to-laptop integration.

Google said the OS is not called Aluminium and confirmed existing Chromebooks will still be supported.

The move points to a major shift in Google’s laptop strategy that could evolve or replace ChromeOS over time.
