Bae Kyung-hoon: "Strengthen AI education and industry-academia cooperation…support the 4,500 trillion won mega project"

The government is stepping up AI talent development and industry-academia cooperation to support its three major mega projects.

Deputy Prime Minister and Science Minister Bae Kyung-hoon said talent is key to linking university research with real-world business needs.

The ministry held an AI talent event at COEX to discuss workforce skills, partnerships, and support measures based on industry demand.

It plans to draw up a support strategy for AI talent development, including retention and compensation conditions in Korea.
