Apple is adding a simple feature iPhones have needed for years

Apple is testing undo and redo controls for Home Screen editing in iOS 27 and iPadOS 27.

The buttons would let users reverse or restore icon, widget, and layout changes from the long-press edit menu.

That should make Home Screen customization safer by reducing accidental layout mistakes.

The update fits Apple’s broader push toward polish, stability, and usability over big new features.
