Mistral AI unveils Medium 3.5 model and Work Mode

Mistral AI launched Medium 3.5, a 128B dense model with a 256k context window, now in public preview across CLI, chat, and API.

The model is built for coding, reasoning, and vision, and supports remote sandboxed agents for more complex workflows.

Mistral also introduced Work Mode in Le Chat, bringing multi-step cloud agent tasks into the product.

Medium 3.5 ships with open weights under a modified MIT license and can run on as few as four GPUs, strengthening Mistral’s open-weight and productivity push.
