SAMR conducts price compliance guidance for the photovoltaic industry, discouraging vicious low-price competition - IT Home

On July 31, China’s market regulator held a price-compliance guidance session for the solar PV industry in Yancheng, Jiangsu, targeting vicious low-price competition.

Companies were asked to improve cost accounting, establish pricing compliance systems, and conduct self-inspections and corrections.

Authorities said they will use reminders, compliance interviews, and administrative guidance to curb unfair competition, and punish repeat offenders that seriously disrupt market order.

Industry associations were told to strengthen self-discipline and promote the Solar PV Industry Cost Accounting Model Guidelines.

The move aims to shift the sector away from price wars toward quality- and compliance-driven high-quality growth.
