Google explains how it used AI to fix many Chrome bugs

Google is adding AI across Chrome’s security workflow to speed up vulnerability discovery, triage, fix generation, release delivery, and on-device application.

Using Gemini and other LLMs, Chrome has found long-standing flaws and produced a large number of fixes more quickly.

With shorter release cycles and stronger auto-apply support in Chrome 149 and 150 on macOS, Google aims to shrink the window of exposure for users.
