With Switch 2, iPhone, and laptop tricks, the Sharge Disk Pro 2 is finally a worthy EDC

The Verge reviewed Sharge’s Disk Pro 2 Ultra, a compact all-in-one accessory that combines an M.2 SSD enclosure, USB-C hub, 4K HDMI output, SD/microSD readers, and magnetic phone mounting.

It worked across laptops, iPhones, Android phones, Steam Deck, and Nintendo Switch hardware, but its low-power design limited SSD power delivery.

More demanding setups needed external power, while properly powered iPhones could use it for 4K ProRes recording.

Compatibility caveats also showed up with Nintendo Switch 2 docking and VRR support, underscoring the trade-offs in this travel-friendly EDC device.
