Google just announced a new kind of laptop, and it puts Gemini everywhere

Google unveiled Googlebook, a new AI-first laptop platform with partners including Acer, Asus, Dell, HP, and Lenovo.

The platform is built around Gemini-powered features such as Magic Pointer, custom widgets from natural-language prompts, and tighter Android integration.

Google wants to make AI central to everyday laptop use while linking its desktop, web, and Android ecosystems more closely.

Full specs and pricing have not been announced, but Googlebook devices are expected to arrive this fall.
