GM idles electric truck factory, lays off 1,300 workers for a month

GM idled its Factory Zero plant in Detroit and temporarily laid off 1,300 workers.

The plant is scheduled to restart on April 13 and resume production of several large EV models.

GM had earlier permanently cut 1,700 jobs at EV and battery plants and previously paused large EV production for about a month.
