The US government just blacklisted foreign-made robots and power inverters

The FCC added foreign-made advanced robots and connected power inverters to its Covered List after a White House-led security review.

New models will be blocked from equipment authorization unless they get conditional approval from the Department of War or Homeland Security.

The move expands U.S. restrictions on connected foreign hardware tied to telecom, critical infrastructure, and supply-chain risk.

Existing approved devices are not affected.
