Apple's new Siri app is expected to include an automatic chat deletion feature

Bloomberg says Apple is working on a standalone Siri app for iOS 27 with new privacy controls.

Users may be able to auto-delete Siri chats after 30 days, after one year, or keep them indefinitely.

The redesign would also limit chat retention and long-term memory, making Siri less persistent than chatbots like ChatGPT or Claude.

Apple is positioning Siri’s AI upgrade around privacy and user control, potentially previewed at WWDC.
