Oura launched the Ring 5, a thinner smart ring with better scratch resistance and upgraded health sensors.

The new model improves automatic workout detection, adds broader health alerts, and lasts up to six to nine days per charge.

Ring 5 starts at $399, which is $50 more than Ring 4.

The launch comes as Oura tries to defend its lead against growing competition from rivals like Ultrahuman, Circular, and Fitbit Air.
