Subnautica 2 early access starts in May, in the wake of its publisher and fired leads’ legal dispute

Unknown Worlds says Subnautica 2 will launch in Early Access on May 14 for $29.99.

The announcement comes after a legal fight with Krafton over who controls the game’s release.

Krafton had fired the studio’s leaders, but a Delaware court reinstated CEO Ted Gill and limited Krafton’s launch authority.

The dispute also touched a major bonus tied to the game’s early access release.
