AWS App Runner to stop accepting new sign-ups on April 30 and enter maintenance mode; Amazon RDS Custom for Oracle to end in one year, among multiple AWS service retirement plans announced

AWS announced lifecycle changes for multiple services, including maintenance and sunset timelines across its portfolio.

App Runner will stop accepting new requests on 2026-04-30, while RDS Custom for Oracle is scheduled to shut down on 2027-03-31.

Several other services were also moved into maintenance or sunset status, with AWS directing users to migration options and support guidance.

Customers should review dependencies now and plan migrations to avoid relying on services that are no longer onboarding users or will end on fixed dates.
