Ukraine hits Russia with massive 500-drone strike, fires and fatalities reported in Moscow

Ukraine launched a major overnight drone attack on Russia, sending roughly 500 drones, including about 120 toward Moscow.

Russian officials said many drones were intercepted, but some reached Moscow-area targets and caused fires, damage, injuries, and deaths.

Reported hits included energy and technology sites such as the Moscow Oil Refinery, the Solnechnogorsk oil terminal, and the Elma technology park.

Russia also launched about 290 drones at Ukraine, underscoring a widening cycle of mutual long-range strikes.
