Broadcasting and Communications Commission: "Beware of exaggerated ads for Galaxy Z8 pre-orders"

South Korea’s Broadcasting and Media Communications Commission warned of exaggerated subsidy and gift ads at some mobile retailers during Samsung’s Galaxy Z8 preorder period.

Consumers were urged to verify the seller, confirm all promised benefits are written into the contract, and keep the contract copy.

The regulator also advised reporting suspected violations through consumer protection and reporting channels.
