Huawei has open-sourced openPangu-2.0-Pro, releasing the model weights, basic inference code, and a technical report.

The model is built on Ascend NPUs, uses a MoE architecture, and has around 505B parameters with 512k context support.

Huawei says the release includes multiple architecture and training optimizations for high-performance language modeling.

The open release should help developers reproduce, evaluate, and improve large models within the Ascend ecosystem.
