Ishikawa Prefecture will relaunch Noto Satoyama Airport as the world’s first airport bearing a Pokémon name from July 7, 2026 to Sept. 30, 2029.

The revamped airport will feature themed decorations, hands-on attractions, limited-edition goods, and shuttle buses for area sightseeing.

The project aims to support recovery from the Noto Peninsula earthquake while boosting tourism and regional revitalization through a popular IP collaboration.
