'AI for Everyone' contest deadline extended by a week... until August 18

NIPA extended the application deadline for the government-backed ‘Everyone’s AI’ project by one week, to August 18 at 5 p.m.

The initiative, led by the Science and ICT Ministry and NIPA, aims to build free Korean-made AI services for the public.

Officials said the extension was made in response to industry concerns about the schedule and preparation time.

After the open call, the government plans to pick operators in August, run beta services in late September, and launch within the year.
