Apple details how it's handling DarkSword spyware, which targets iPhones

Apple patched the iOS vulnerabilities used by DarkSword, apple told Mashable it patched the exploited iOS vulnerabilities last year.

Pushed an emergency software update for iOS 15 and iOS 16, apple released an emergency update for older devices on March 11.

IOS 15 through iOS 26 are protected from DarkSword, apple stated protection applies to iOS versions 15 through 26.

Apple recommended devices on iOS 13 or iOS 14 update to iOS 15 for protection, apple advised users on iOS 13 and 14 to update.

Will send Critical Security Update alerts to users on older iOS within the next few days, apple said affected older-version users will receive an alert soon.
