NASA unveils plan to build President Trump’s permanent ‘Moon base'

NASA is shifting its exploration priorities toward a permanent Moon base and more frequent lunar landings by 2030.

The agency is pausing Gateway, revising Artemis III, and accelerating a broader long-term strategy for sustained lunar operations.

NASA also outlined a nuclear-electric spacecraft for Mars and other major missions, including Roman and Dragonfly to Titan.

The plan aims to advance deep-space technology and strengthen U.S. competition in space.
