Apple releases public betas for iPadOS 26.5, watchOS 26.5, and more

Apple launched public beta 1 builds for several 26.5 OS updates, including iPadOS, watchOS, tvOS, and HomePod.

Developer betas for the 26.5 updates were released earlier in the week.

iOS and iPadOS 26.5 add a Suggested Places feature to Apple Maps.

Early testing shows only minor user-facing changes compared with the 26.4 releases.

Apple may add more features in later beta updates before WWDC 2026.
