You can now talk to your Gmail inbox, as seen at Google I/O 2026

Google is adding Gmail Live to its AI Inbox, letting users ask natural-language questions about email by voice or text.

The Gemini-based feature can answer follow-up questions and pull out details like travel plans, appointments, and other inbox info.

Traditional Gmail search will still be available, alongside tools like draft generation and task management.

Gmail Live will launch later this summer for Google AI Ultra subscribers, with broader AI plan expansion to follow.
