Qualcomm’s Datacenter CPU Rumor Comes Just In Time As Agentic AI Goes in Hyperdrive Mode

Qualcomm is rumored to be preparing its first dedicated Arm-based datacenter CPU, with an announcement possible in the coming months.

The chip could complement Qualcomm’s existing accelerator hardware and target AI infrastructure workloads, including inference and agentic AI use cases.

The move would expand Qualcomm’s datacenter business beyond accelerators and give buyers another CPU option alongside rivals like Intel Xeon.

Reports also point to possible ties with NVIDIA and HUMAIN as Qualcomm builds out its AI datacenter strategy.
