Sandisk is launching new SATA SSDs in 2026 because NVMe prices are out of control

Sandisk appears to be preparing new SATA SSD lines, the 320 and 520, after listings surfaced on Amazon UK.

The drives are expected to offer up to 2TB and 4TB, aimed at budget-friendly storage buyers rather than NVMe performance seekers.

The timing fits a market where NAND shortages and strong data center demand are pushing SSD and NVMe prices higher.

As faster storage gets more expensive, slower SATA drives may become a practical lower-cost option for extra capacity.
