Shared Dictionaries: compression that keeps up with the agentic web

Cloudflare previewed a beta for shared compression dictionaries.

The approach compresses responses against a client’s cached version, sending only the differences.

Early results suggest lower bandwidth use, less CPU work, and faster page loads.

The benefit is strongest for rapidly changing sites where traditional caching is less effective, including agent-heavy traffic.
