Netflix AI Team Just Open-Sourced VOID: an AI Model That Erases Objects From Videos — Physics and All

Netflix and INSAIT have released VOID, an open-source video inpainting model.

VOID goes beyond basic object removal by also deleting related scene effects such as shadows, reflections, and physical interactions.

That makes edits look more physically plausible than with many current video editing and VFX tools.

The model could improve automated post-production and video cleanup workflows.
