Fitbit 4.66 for Android rolling out water, food, & mood logging, more

Key summary
Fitbit for Android is rolling out app version 4.66 via the Play Store; the rollout is not yet wide, and the version is already fully launched on iOS.
The Ask Coach Log prompt now includes two options: Hydration (similar to the stable experience) and a simplified Food search.
Food can be added by scanning a barcode via Today > + > Log > Food > Barcode; if an item is in the database its nutrition facts are shown, otherwise you can submit it to the database; you can adjust quantity and save. Google’s support article mentions a barcode reader.
The Health tab's Focus areas now include a Nutrition section. Stats pages list Energy burned, Hydration, Calorie target, Calories intake, Fat, Carbs, and Protein.
A Mental wellbeing grid offers Mindfulness and Body responses. The former Stress management score is now called Resilience with Low, Balanced, or Optimal levels; Body Responses help show how the body reacts to stress. Cycle health logging appears in Focus areas and Premium users get personalized cycle insights. Free users can sign up for the Public Preview, which enables the redesigned app but not the new AI-powered Coach; preview data may be delayed and there are iOS preview bugs. After updating you should be prompted to enable the redesigned app or can join from the account menu.
