Valve's Proton 11 beta boosts Linux gaming with better performance and classic game support

Valve has released Proton 11.0-beta1 for Linux, adding performance-focused changes including NTSync support.

The beta broadens compatibility for older games, improving support for classics such as Resident Evil, Dino Crisis, and Shogun: Total War.

It also expands playability for legacy titles like Chrono Trigger, Metal Gear Solid 2, and Call of Duty 2.

An ARM64 Proton configuration is included as well, which may point to future support for the Steam Frame VR headset.
