The US just banned foreign-made Wi-Fi routers, but your Nest Wifi is safe

Federal Communications Commission banned the import of routers manufactured abroad, the FCC announced a ban on imports of routers made outside the United States.

FCC applied the ban to both Wi‑Fi routers and routers that manage wired connections, the ban covers devices used for Wi‑Fi and devices used to manage wired connections.

Ban rules current rules extend through March 1, 2027, the rules include a date after which updates for existing devices may not be covered.
