OpenAI is bringing the mighty Codex tool to the ChatGPT app on your phone

OpenAI is bringing Codex preview support to the ChatGPT mobile app on iOS and Android for users on all plans in supported regions.

The mobile app can connect to Codex sessions running on a computer, letting users review threads, approve commands, inspect terminal output, check tests, and view diffs remotely.

OpenAI says the connection is secure, and Windows support is planned for a later release.

The move expands OpenAI’s coding agent beyond desktop workflows and raises competition in the AI coding tools market.
