Google Vids is ushered into a new era of AI creation and editing with Lyria 3, Veo 3.1

Major Google Vids update rolling out this week adds AI features from Veo 3.1 and Lyria 3.

Veo 3 improves video quality via AI; Veo 3.1 lets all Vid users generate video clips at no cost.

AI avatars are upgraded for Pro and Ultra subscribers, with scene placement, object interaction, and customization of clothes, location, and mood.

Lyria 3 (and Lyria 3 Pro) generates songs from user prompts, producing music from 30 seconds to three minutes.

The update also provides a Chrome Screen Recorder extension to all users, an option to attach captions, and Watch on YouTube support.
