Apple’s iPhone 18 Pro lineup is rumored to gain built-in satellite connectivity through the new C2 modem.

The modem could support 5G NR-NTN, which would let iPhones connect to non-terrestrial networks when cellular service is weak or unavailable.

If the report is accurate, satellite fallback could become more automatic and less dependent on manually pointing the phone at the sky.
