"Docomo Bank" Starts Today: Docomo Shops Become Banks

On August 3, the new brand “Docomo no Ginko” launched, and Sumishin SBI Net Bank changed its name to “Docomo SMTB Net Bank.”

The bank will now offer in-person support at Docomo shops and bank FC stores for services such as account opening and home loans.

To mark the launch, it is running a deposit-growth campaign that shares up to 1 billion d points, plus a special six-month time-deposit rate promotion.

The move strengthens ties between a telecom giant and a trust bank group, using physical locations to complement online banking and expand customer touchpoints.
